Creamy Peanut Dipping Sauce

Yields about 3/4 cup of sauce | Preparation time: 5 minutes

When developing this recipe, we consulted Allan’s (co-founder/CPO) mother since it seemed as though everyone had different recipes for this particular sauce. Allan’s mother hails from Vietnam, so we figured she’d be the most credible source. In typical motherly fashion, she makes this sauce by taste every time. Of course, a list of ingredients was provided to us, but no exact quantities. So we went with what tasted good to us, using some of her guidance, and added our Umami Miso Shortcut Sauce for a little extra ease, as some recipes called for finely chopped onion.

Assembly

Step 1
Add all ingredients (besides peanuts and chili garlic sauce) to a bowl and mix well. If you want a thinner sauce, add more coconut water. If you want more peanut flavour, add more peanut butter. This recipe is quite flexible, so adjust to your preference.

Step 2
Top with garnishes, if desired.

Ingredients

½ cup Hoisin sauce

2.5 tbsp Creamy peanut butter (no-stir)

1 tbsp Umami Miso Shortcut Sauce

1.5 tbsp Coconut water

Rice vinegar or lime juice, to taste
