Garlic Parmesan Tater Tots

Yields 3-4 servings

Everyone’s ideal happy hour includes crispy garlicky parmesan fries and a cold glass of white wine, right?? Turns out, you can also make this at home. Okay so it’s not quite the same, but it really is the perfect last minute appetizer for when you have unexpected guests or if you want something a little snacky before dinner! Of course, it can’t go without a dipping sauce, so we opted for our Miso Caesar Dressing for a caesar salad experience (minus the salad). We paired it with Proxies Crisp White non-alc wine to really round out the whole experience without the hangover!

This recipe was created in partnership with Proxies.

Assembly

Step 1
Bake or air-fry tater tots according to the instructions on the package.

Step 2
Meanwhile, melt butter in a small sauce pot.

Step 3
Add garlic and simmer on low for at least 5 minutes to soften garlic. Add capers and keep simmering on low heat until tater tots are ready, stirring occasionally, being careful not to let it burn.

Step 4
Once tater tots are done baking, transfer to a large bowl and grate parmesan cheese on top and toss well. Season with salt, if needed.

Step 5
Mix parsley into melted butter and pour over the baked tater tots. You may not need the whole amount. Any leftover butter can be used for garlic bread, pasta, or whatever else you can think of!

Step 6
Transfer to serving dish, grate more parmesan cheese on top, and serve immediately. Dip into Miso Caesar Dressing and serve with Proxies Crisp White.
