Banh Mi Party Sub

Yields 2-4 servings

Honestly, we’re not here to tell you how to make the perfect banh mi. We’re not experts. BUT we do know how to have a little fun with it! We used an entire baguette to give it a party sub vibe (we love sharing!) without losing out on the crusty exterior and added chicharron strips for a crunchy surprise. While many banh mi shops have a spicy option that uses chopped chili peppers, we opted for a more subtle approach with our Spicy Serrano Mayo without losing out on the flavor.

This filling combo is pretty standard for a banh mi, but if you prefer other ingredients, feel free to customize it. Just make sure to include our Spicy Serrano Mayo ;)

Assembly

Step 1
Lightly toast whole baguette. Split in half lengthwise, keeping one length attached to create a hinge.

Step 2
Spread pâté on one half and Spicy Serrano Mayo on the other. Lightly drizzle with Maggi seasoning.

Step 3
Evenly layer on ham, pickled carrot and daikon, cucumber slices, chicharron strips, and cilantro. Wrap in parchment paper and enjoy!
